The philosophy that Yon-Ka is based on is embodied in this name, which is a combination of 2 words:

  • YON: a river with rapid and purifying water, as well as the phonetic homonym " ion ", meaning an energy particle
  • KA: in ancient Egypt, Ka signifies the vital and eternal force that is inherent in each individual

Yon-Ka: a name that is symbolic of natural and constant regeneration.

Yon-Ka Paris products are natural based. Please refer to the side of the retail box for the percentage of ingredients of natural origin. 70% of the line has 90% or higher ingredients of natural origin. Yon-Ka holds itself to strict standards and has been self-regulating our usage of natural ingredients for years.

From roots to seeds, over 130 plants from the lands and seas of the entire world are used to compose Yon-Ka products and contribute to their effectiveness through targeted phyto-aromatic active ingredients:

- from aromatherapy to aromachology , the spearheads of the brand, essential oils deliver their volatile scented molecules to the powerful physiological and psychotherapeutic actions;

- from phytotherapy to gemmotherapy , the titrated and objectified extracts of the plants are used: peptides, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, mineral salts, trace elements, polyphenols, AHAs, BHAs and more reinforce and enrich the formulas and effectiveness of the products.

At the heart of the Yon-Ka formulas: the Quintessence

This is an extraordinary synergy of five pre-dosed essential oils with a wide field of action. It is used in the composition of 70% of the brand’s products.

Depending on its concentration, it is also a relaxing or energizing olfactory treasure.

• Fine lavender from Haute-Provence with calming, healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

• Geranium from Egypt with anti-inflammatory, antalgic and healing properties.

• Rosemary from Morocco, with antiseptic, regenerating and toning properties.

• Cypress from Provence with decongesting and nerve-balancing properties.

• Thyme from Spain, an excellent stimulant with powerful antiseptic properties.

 

 The plants used in Yon-Ka products come from renewable resources and sustainable agriculture. They are mainly of organic origin. Science that studies the influence of smells on human behaviour. Science that uses young shoots and buds to stimulate the cellular metabolism.

Yon-Ka products are not tested on animals, the safety tests are carried out according to alternative methods. In vivo tests were carried out on human volunteers under medical supervision:

  • clinically tested means that tolerance tests and / or efficacy were performed on humans under the supervision of a Medical Investigator;
  • dermatologically tested means that these tests were performed on humans under the supervision of a Physician Dermatologist
